Detox has become a buzzword associated with diet and clean eating but how often do we look at other aspects of our lifestyle and make conscious choices about them? For example, how our thoughts and actions may be harming our health. Or are we eating enough natural, whole foods? Or how much social media/tv/streamed content we consume.
So many of us get stuck in routines that aren’t beneficial to our overall wellbeing. That’s why it’s important to develop ways to energise your life.
Wellness comprises several dimensions commonly: mental, intellectual, physical, social, financial, spiritual, environmental, and occupational. These dimensions are interdependent and influence each other. When one dimension of our wellbeing is out of balance, the other dimensions are affected too but sometimes we don’t listen to those niggles until something goes wrong.
So press that pause button and:
- Work through the Wellness Assessment to help you identify what is going well and what areas of your life may need some attention. You may find some other areas to reflect on in Detox your Lifestyle.
- Consider if it’s time to detox your workout routine as well as your diet.
- Challenge yourself to build your happiness muscle [Happiness vs Pleasure].
When you’re ready to make those changes, read our article on The Power of Habit Stacking. Health and wellbeing are gifts that only you can give yourself.
