There is a greater awareness of the risk factors for heart disease such as smoking, lack of exercise and an unhealthy diet. Obesity and Type 2 diabetes are also major risk factors that we can add to the list. Improving our diets can reduce our waistline, which in turn reduces our risk of heart disease and most cancers.
